Difference of Handmade Sink and Drawn Press Sink

1. Whether there are welds on the tank

When manufacturing the stretching basin, the corresponding mold is placed in the hydraulic press in advance, and then the steel plate is covered on the mold. When the worker steps on the mold, the mold is pushed up to press out the tank body of the tank. Therefore, the entire tank body is free of welds. Now even for double pots, if a double pot mold is developed, the whole stamping can be achieved. One of the advantages of this kind of sink is that the water tank is integrally formed without welds.

In contrast, the handmade sink has welds. It is precisely because of the need for manual welding that it is called a manual basin. Our handmade basins exported to North America are very different from others. We have always used the cross type overall cutting method for the outlet basin, so there are only four welds for a single tank. With the full penetration welding process, the tank will never leak. However, the drawn press basin adopts scattered cutting method, with many welds.

2. Sink R angle size

To punch a steel plate out of the sink, the R angle of the mold is usually designed as a large angle (such as the R angle of 60 degrees), otherwise the steel plate will not withstand the stress and crack, and the steel plate will be scrapped. Therefore, we can see many sinks formed by die stamping, and the R angle is often large. Large R angle is easier to clean, but compared with manual basin, the available space is smaller, and it doesn't look so high-end and beautiful.

Generally, there are only three kinds of R angles for handmade basins: R0 (right angle basin), R10 and R15. Compared with the traditional drawn press sink, the R angle of the manual basin is much smaller.
