Different kitchen sink installation methods

There are generally three installation methods for sinks, above the table, in Taichung and under the table.


Countertop sink
The diameter of the countertop sink is larger than the opening of the cabinet countertop. When using it, put it on it and fix it with glass glue. When disassembling, remove the glass glue and pick it up directly.
It is easy to install, and it is also the default installation method of cabinet merchants. The space left under the sink can be about 3 cm higher than the under-counter basin.
However, the glass glue is easy to mold and turn black after being used for a long time, and it is not convenient to clean. If there is a gap, it is easy to leak water into the cabinet.

Taichung sink
Taichung sinks are also called flush-mounted sinks. When installing, polish off a layer on the countertops of the cabinets. After installation, the sinks are flush with the countertops.
There is one more installation procedure for the Taichung basin, so the price will also be one more. Although it is beautiful, the gap between the sink and the countertop is also a dead corner that is difficult to clean.

Undermount Sink
The edge of the sink is lower than the kitchen countertop, the sink is embedded in the cabinet, and the gap is bonded with adhesive. This type of sink is called an under-counter basin.
The installation of the undercounter basin is troublesome, and the cost is similar to that of the Taichung basin. The cleaning is relatively easy to take care of, but the load bearing capacity is not as good as that of the countertop basin.
